Coming alive with colours

Our colour palette is a cornerstone of Resimator’s identity. It is designed not merely to decorate, but to evoke clarity, trust, and timeless sophistication. Each shade is carefully balanced to function across digital and physical touchpoints, ensuring that every interaction with our brand feels consistent, intuitive, and distinctly premium.

The palette is divided into three categories:

  • Primary: The defining hues of our brand. These anchor the visual language and carry the weight of recognition.
  • Secondary: A complementary spectrum that introduces versatility, accentuating without overpowering.
  • Neutral: The quiet foundation, balancing bold statements with restraint, clarity, and space.

Color Usage Principles

Our colour palette is more than just a collection of hues — it’s a system designed to create recognition, clarity, and emotional impact across every brand touchpoint. Correct use of colour ensures that Resimator feels consistent, premium, and accessible in all environments, from digital to print.

Accessibility First

  • All text placed on coloured backgrounds must meet WCAG AA contrast standards at minimum; AAA where possible.
  • Deep Midnight should be the default colour for body text to guarantee readability.
  • Avoid using Neon Lime or other bright accents for long-form text.

WCAG contrast standard AAA

Hierarchy & Proportion

  • Primary Colours (Deep Midnight) should account for ~60% of the design composition.
  • Secondary Colours should account for ~25%, supporting navigation, infographics, and emphasis.
  • Neutral Colours (Off White, Soft Sky, Warm Charcoal) should be ~15%, providing balance and breathing room.

Balance & Emphasis

  • Neon Lime is a high-impact accent to be used sparingly for call-to-actions, active states, or key highlights.
  • Avoid overuse of accent colors to maintain impact and brand restraint.
  • Design with clear focal points to avoid color overload.

This is an example of a well balanced color usage.

Consistency Across Media

  • Use specified HEX, CMYK, and RGB values for consistency across digital and print.
  • Prohibit altering hues, tints, or saturation unless part of a pre-approved campaign gradient.

Functional Application

  • Default to Off White or Soft Sky for clarity. Deep Midnight is for immersive or high-contrast layouts.
  • Use Deep Midnight or Warm Charcoal for primary copy.
  • Use Neon Lime or Secondary Colours for buttons and links, always paired with Deep Midnight for contrast.
  • Use secondary tones (Steel Blue, Coral Red, Amber, etc.) for infographics and data differentiation without overwhelming.

This is an example of a well balanced color usage.

Emotional Tone

  • The palette should evoke clarity, sophistication, and vitality.
  • Primary darks (Deep Midnight) communicate authority and professionalism.
  • Neutrals create a minimal, premium backdrop.
  • Accents inject energy and dynamism, preventing the identity from feeling flat.
