Body and small text carry the majority of our brand's information. Their clarity and legibility are critical to maintaining trust and professionalism. We use Satoshi Regular as the default for body content, ensuring smooth reading at various screen sizes and print resolutions.
- Default size (digital): 16–18px with a line height of 1.4–1.5 for comfortable reading.
- Default size (print): 10–12pt with proportionate leading.
- Weight: Regular for standard content, Medium for emphasis within body copy.
- Colour: Prefer high-contrast combinations — black or graphite text on light backgrounds, or white on dark backgrounds — meeting WCAG AA standards (minimum contrast ratio of 4.5:1 for body text).
- Letter spacing: 0 to +5 for optimal readability; avoid negative tracking for small text.
- Small text: For captions, disclaimers, or labels, use 12–14px with increased tracking (+10 to +20) to improve legibility. Avoid going below 12px in digital applications to prevent strain.
